Two truck drivers and a mate have died in a gory head-on collision accident involving a Man Diesel and Howo Sino Trucks at Akyem Osino stretch of the Accra to Kumasi Highways.
According to the local Police, on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at about 5.45am 45-year-old driver Adomako Asabre now deceased in charge of Man Diesel Truck with registration number GM 6453-12 with one person on board loaded with wood from Kumasi direction towards Tema.
However, on reaching a section of the road at Osino on Accra to Kumasi highway, a Howo Sino truck with registration number GM 2487-14 fully loaded with bags of cement being driven by Abdul Aziz, 51, from Accra direction towards Kumasi veered off its lane and collided head-on with the Man Diesel Truck.
Both drivers and the mate of the MAN Diesel truck died on the spot.
However, the driver’s mate of the Howo Sino truck, Alhassan Abubakar, 28, driver’s mate sustained an injury and was rushed to Osino health center for treatment. Watch the video here
