 President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called for an open discussion on illegal small-scale gold mining (galamsey) as a country.Thirteen African Heads of State including the President of Senegal, Macky Sall, President of Liberia, George Weah and the President of Cote d'Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara have confirmed that they will be in attendance at the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Vice President-elect Mahamudu Bawumia on Thursday, 7th January 2021
